Newark, NJ – Congresswoman Analilia Mejia (NJ-11), a member of the Homeland Security Committee, published an op-ed accusing DHS of medical abuse stemming from the conditions inside Delaney Hall and called for the facility’s closure. She highlighted her examination of individuals with chronic health conditions not receiving the care they require, warning that these conditions and the lack of care detainees recieve could put their lives at risk.

Livingston, N.J. –  Congresswoman Analilia Mejia (NJ-11) announced the 23 students from New Jersey’s 11th Congressional District appointed to the U.S. Service Academies and attending the Service Academy Preparatory Schools and Preparatory Programs. These students will begin their education and service careers this year at the U.S. Naval Academy, the U.S. Military Academy, the U.S. Air Force Academy, and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, and their associated Preparatory Schools and Programs.

Washington D.C. — Today, upon the recommendation of the U.S. House Democratic Sterling and Policy Committee, Congresswoman Analilia Mejia (NJ-11) was appointed to the U.S. House of Representative Committee on Small Business. This is her second committee assignment in addition to the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Homeland Security.

Washington D.C. – Today, U.S. Representatives Analilia Mejia (D-MO) and Emanuel Cleaver, II (D-MO) led dozens of lawmakers in demanding the Trump administration make consumers eligible for tariff refunds and implement an automatic refund system to pay back small businesses that were harmed by the president’s illegal tariffs.
